THE END OF THE DEVENTER SHUL, BUT A NEW START IN RAALTE!

As you may have read in the international media, our small Masorti Jewish community was thrown out of the beautiful Great Synagogue of Deventer, by an entrepreneur who wanted to turn it into a food hall.

We appreciated all your support, which helped us to find a new home: the 19th century shul of ‘Raalte’. And thanks to our activism and media-attention, the municipality will not allow a foodhall or something else with food/drinks in the Deventer shul.
